HEAVEN'S BLUE

by: Victor Rydberg (1828-1895)

      ONDERFUL
      Unfathomed clearness,
      O Heavenly azure,
      That, smiling,
      Descends to me,
      Lifting my soul
      To cool spaces
      And holy serenity!
      Enchanting Nirvana,
      Where, bathed in purity,
      I exhale myself
      In the infinite,
      And reborn
      In the next breath,
      Baptized in longing,
      Sink back
      To the dust of Earth.
